5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

Well, my shipped eggs have not yet shipped due to ppl being trapped by the weather.
So, I'm still gonna hatchalong but I'll be running a little behind, I'm gonna keep my chin up about this.
I'm gonna look at it this way-- perhaps the eggs I get will have a better (warmer & shorter) time in transit than if they had been shipped on sat.
& as we are forecast for yet another round of ice storms here tonight/tomorrow better that the eggs are not going to arrive tomorrow.
<sigh>
So I'm going w/ the concept that I'll get more chicks on Jan 2-3-4? and be very happy to entend my NewYears funs then if the eggs
where here to start "on time" but had a way worse trip & thus no hatchers.

Meanwhile, I will cheer on everyone else :

Yah for all the pictures of eggs to be set!
woohoo on everyone warming up their bators and getting into the festive hatch-along spirit.
It is a matter of hours now until Dec 11 set time, so GOOD LUCK my fellow NYDHers, GOOD LUCK all you eggs who might be chicks.

I'll be bringing up the rear w/ any other stragglers & delayed shipments...
better late than never & a continuing Happy New Year shall be our motto! hurray

My SFH eggs are delayed too. Or lost... They shipped out early Friday, and haven't scanned anywhere since they left the sort facility.

I even went to PO and had them look it up and they show no scans either. Hopefully someone just missed scanning them and they'll be here tomorrow. I will be picking up my Lav Orp eggs tomorrow though (barring any problems arising), AND one of my EEs started laying again finally (they've been having a rough first molt). So I have 2 pretty blue/green eggs to put in as well.

My pet chic eggs not coming till spring now.... Due to weather ... I was offered they'll double my order at no extra charge. Has anyone used my pet chix eggs before

No but I think the eggs come from breeders in their local area. Often you can find out who the Breeders are and get them directly.
