So, eggs came yesterday.  Should I go ahead and set them, or wait until noon tomorrow?    I could set them today at noon.     Not used to waiting this long.  It's been over 24 hrs. sitting.  No dates on the eggs as to how old they are. hmmmm......

Im waiting. My eggs got shipped out last wed and arrived yesterday. One egg is even dated back to the 27th(the older ones were some of the extras include). But its up to you.

NH??

Former NHite here..

Yes I have lived in NH most of my life. I love it here. Im in southern NH.

From Southern NH too, graduated Pinkerton Academy but learned later in life that I liked Southern more then NH. .

how long should the incubator be on to stabilize the temperature? its been on for about 5 or 6 hours now and is fluctuating between 99.5 and 99.7. i also have been adding water every hour because the humidity wont get above 42% i have all day tomorrow to get it right before setting my eggs. my eyes are glued to my incubator and i dont even have eggs yet... i think im anticipating too much

You are ;) Don't sweat those temps, and I dry hatch. Makes humidity less of an issue.

what do you have to do differently to dry hatch? just simply not add water? My house is really dry so i feel like i might need to add water so that they dont dry out too quickly. I dont have anything to weigh my eggs, should i get a food balance from the store?
