im not sure if you guys will be able to help but one of my chickens is acting weird today. while the others are out foraging she just keeps walking in and out of the goat housemaking a lot of noise. and she also keeps going on top of the piles of hay I have out for the goats and making a nest between the corner and the hay but then she leaves right away looking at the ceiling making a bunch of noise. she seems okay other than the fact she's running around making so much noise. this chicken always seems a little morestressedthan the rest of them but today especially so.

How old? Currently laying?

Silkie babies?? Have you posted photos of them, and I missed out? I love baby silkies.

Not yet, will try to get some today, just moved them to the brooder last night before bed

Looks like this was already answered very well. As others have said, I'd watch where she finally settles and see if she lays an egg. Could be she is looking for just the perfect broody nest. If she doesn't settle or lay an egg, I'd check her for egg binding.

What breed is she?  How old is she?  Could she be going broody?  

She is a layer already? It sounds like she is working on an egg and maybe even going broody.

Check her for a stuck egg but she sounds fine. Hens with a stuck egg walk like something is hurting them.

shes probably around 6 months, i got her as a POL Delaware from mcmurray and she hasnt laid yet but just started squatting for me. she doesn't look like she's in pain. I'll keep an eye on her tho! she's weird like when all the other chickens jump up on a roost she walks around it trying to jump up but she only jumps straight up and not onto the roost. I think.shes trying to get high.up but cant. all the other chickens can get into the nest boxes but her.

to check for a stuck egg you just put some.lubricant on your fingers and feel around in her vent?

Sounds like she is getting ready to lay her first egg. Keep checking on her, youll find it soon.
