I finally got my first pip, the only silkie! This one is Rion (Ryan) we have all 5 eggs named. Rion Sea Crest Jullian Hough. We know they are not together any more but we had a New Years baby last year her name is DickieSue (dick Clark) so we are trying to stick with that theme again this year. Now crossing fingers for a 12:00 hatch![]()
I have really enjoyed following this thread and wish all of you a happy and safe new year!
Blessings to all-
Ty

thanks!
we just colored their tails so we could identify the OEs and japs......
well...that totally messed up their feathers for e cutest chick hatched pictures....will the dye matter?
so....I think we have 4 hens and 2 roosters! form testing them anyhow.
That is amazing to see!
I'm so sorry. Having lost 4 chickens to various hazards I appreciate these posts. I cannot say that losing them after hatching is harder than losing them in the hatch as I haven't done both. However, I'm familiar with the pain.I am with you. If this hatch doesn't go better than my last couple, I think I am just going to let me hens handle it from now on. Just can't go through wiggly eggs at lock down, then making a grave yard.
