6/20/11 UPDATE on Chicks In The Hummingbird Nest (PIX) Update post #1

We have hummingbirds, but never have seen a nest, wow, I am so excited for you!

I discovered Wednesday that we had an oriole nest and babies too. Momma oriole was not happy with me gardening all day under the banana tree! Tomorrow I am going to try and hide and get some photos of poppa oriole feeding them. They are big enough the heads are poking out the top of the nest.

How exciting! I've never seen a nest, but I do have a couple hummers that visit the flower beds. I do have a bluebird that has hatched out 4 babies this spring and is on her second clutch though!

Thank you so much for the photos! I've looked for years and never found a hummers nest. We have them here every summer, and we've seen young ones, but never the nest.
