So, here is a chance to get some not-too-common colors of Polish. To the winner I will send 6 plus any and all extras laid from my white crested black, chocolate, & khaki pen. These birds are of nice quality, and some have been shown.

For anyone not familiar, what we call "chocolate" in Polish is the result of the Dun gene. Dun acts the same way that Andalusian Blue does, where chocolate would be the equivalent of blue and khaki the equivalent of splash. So:

Black X Chocolate = 50% Black, 50% Chocolate
Chocolate X Chocolate = 50% Chocolate, 25% Black, 25% Khaki
Chocolate X Khaki = 50% Chocolate, 50% Khaki
Khaki X Khaki = 100% Khaki
Khaki X Black = 100% Chocolate

In this pen I have a chocolate rooster over black and chocolate hens, so resulting chicks will be black, chocolate, and khaki in color. One of the chocolate hens is frizzle, so there is also a chance for a frizzled chick or two.

Fertility has been excellent here, but of course I can not guarantee your hatch rate due to shipping, possible incubation problems, and other issues beyond my control. You will receive well-packaged eggs no older than 2 -3 days old at time of shipping. I ship via USPS Priority mail and include delivery confirmation. I am NPIP/Pullorum & AI free. Auction ends Saturday, April 10th. Payment is due no later than 24 hours after auction ends, because eggs will be collected this weekend to ship Monday, April 12th.

Hi, Ra!

Good luck!

Thanks, Kathy. You know, you have some gorgeous frizzles yourself! I have that chocolate frizzle hen thanks to Gretchen.

I had the smooths, but no frizzles, 'till she hooked a gal up.

I'm sure I could pass on the favor at some point, if necessary.

I am obviously Polish crazy, and I have several different colors & love them all, but the chocolates and khakis are my absolute favorites.

ETA: I did point this out in the auction description, but just to make sure I'm clear: I only have the one frizzled hen in this pen, so there is a chance of a frizzle chick or so. However, there is only one frizzled hen in this pen, so I don't be terribly surprised or disappointed if you don't get any frizzles. There will be a 50% chance of a frizzle out of that one hen's eggs, and I won't be able to tell how well she is laying or if you get any of her eggs at all, naturally (I love y'all, but I ain't painting chicken butts this weekend, sorry!

(P.S. I'm sorry, I just realized I said "frizzles", as in plural - didn't mean to confuse anyone!)

Sorry, ra! I'll post more as I have them. I am hatching most myself, but I plan to post a few auctions here and there.

Kathy, you are too funny. No, I'm not doin' it, and if I did, I'm darn sure not creating any incriminating evidence of it!

And I don't think you confused anyone. I did use the picture of the frizzle hen in the auction's image and as the first photo of the post. Mostly because it was one of the better photos I got of the birds the other day, and also because I just think she's really nice. So I just wanted to re-clarify what birds I had in the pen & what the chances are of getting frizzles...etc., etc.

Hey, Gretchen! Yeah that little hen was a real sweetie about her "photo shoot." She sat with the kiddo forever! It wasn't my intention, but 'lil dude wanted to "help" while I was taking pictures, and next thing I know he's got her in his lap and she was just as happy as could be. It was adorable.
