I'm new to paints so I have a question, what is the chance of getting a paint chick from a paint to black breeding, in a percentage? I'm pretty excited to get these if I win them! I just got a new coop & these would be the first chickens out of over 200 eggs I've hatched that I'm getting to keep where I live

Chances are very high that there will be paint. I've had one hatch where all of the chicks were dark but that was only one. Most are seeing about an even split on paint to solid colors. And just because a chick hatches with little color doesn't mean they won't develop it as they molt.

I have yet to breed a solid from paint to a non paint but there was a report that solids from paints will still produce paint.

Thank you for the quick answer! These would be a perfect Christmas present to myself, your birds are definitely beautiful!
