6' Ghosts Banned?

Here kids go trick or treating until they are 18. I think in part it's way of holding onto their childhood a bit longer. I LOVE seeing the teenagers trick or treat here, their costumes are always fantastic. The only girls around here wearing "revealing" costumes are the college girls as they go from party to party. I have never had one be rude.

Tonight I am spending hours helping my son's girlfriend make her Mrs. Lovett costume, believe me, if it were all about the candy for them they would be much better off just going to the store for a bag or two of candy. A decent costume is work and money - but way more fun.

BTW - my son is going as Sweeney Todd again, they are going to look fabulous together. They were even considering making meat pies to round out the look. Funny kids.

You're never too old to go "trick or treating", however I thought the Geritol tablets in my bag wasn't so subtle.

Green Giant.... I still remember (horrifically) the time mom dressed up as a Cave Woman for work... as a waitress... in a truck stop... bet that one raised some... ahem... eyebrows.

Got the batteries for our little punkins, and for the light that I'll put in the thingie (plastic coffee thing painted black with creepy faces cut out, hung from a chain on the tree so that should be interesting)... fog machine is ready... black light needs to be brought down from the shelf... the three CDs are out... candy is bought... gotta put new batts in the flying ghost and give the webs a once over... they're prettty leafy now... and carve our punkin... that's the To Do List for tomorrow... Nana just said she'll have them over tomorrow night so WOOHOO for free evening...

Oh, and we took care of early voting this evening to boot.

I'm feeling all productive.

There are years we have not gone out.Just fill a HUGE bowl with candy and watch scary movies all day. We have done the mall T/T.Crowded and kids were very pushy. So not worth it.

As for the law I am OK with it I guess BUT my 11yo dd could pass for a older teen,so would she need to carry her birth certificate around?

I doubt we will be going out this year.No sidewalks. No street lights.Have to cross the busy road to get to a neighborhood.Debating it.I did pick up a few flashlights the other day just in case we go out.

I told the kids that even if we do go out there might be very few handing out candy. One year we drove an hour to my moms as she has the perfect neighborhood to T/T in. It wass was super frustrating because maybe 2 out of every 10 houses was passing out candy. We drove an hour for that????
