Has anyone had a successful hatch with having a power cut? We went out today and when we got back home we noticed the power was off, we put it straight back on to heat the incubator back up again. We worked out the power was out for 6 hours and the eggs were cold! i cant remember the temperature they were at without heat, probably about 20c.

Should we hang on to the eggs or throw away and start the process again?

What day were you on? I am just wondering because it seems to me that you don't really have anything to lose by leaving them in there and seeing what happens. Maybe if you candle in a couple days you will know if they are still developing or if they were in lockdown, they might hatch. I would guess if the eggs were cold, it's not good but why toss them until you can tell for sure?

Thanks for your reply
The eggs are on day 10 so still got quite a way to go! There are 12 eggs in the incubator, the temperature rose quickly once we put the power back on so im hoping the internal temperature of the egg didnt go too low. we will candle at day 12 as i should be able to tell the difference if they have stopped growing. I suppose there is no harm in waiting a few days!
