6 month old duck too old to butcher?

My friend has a pekin drake that is 6 months old. He was wondering if the meat would be too tough. What do you think? Thanks.

He will be into the low and slow cooking stage of life. The ducks that the duck hunters go out and harvest might be 3-4 years old and those are eaten with great enjoyment. He will taste lovely and just needs to be cooked like he is an older bird.

6 months is not that old for a duck. It will be delicious especially if he brine's it over night.

What age is usual for processing a duck? I am wanting to get into Muscovies, so I am interested in this info.
