6 month old hen broody?

I have a 6 month old hen that has only been laying for about a month. For the last couple of days she won't leave the nest. When we force her out she is very upset and loud about it. Could she be broody at this age, and if so, how do we discourage this behaviour? We don't have a rooster and the egg we usually find her laying on is not even her own!

It certainly is possible for her to be broody. I would suggest taking all eggs you find away the moment you see them, whether the eggs come from your broody hen or not. Your chickens will eventually get used to this and it will help prevent broodiness.
