I currently have 3 roosters 2 are RIR 6 months old and one is olive egger that is 4 months old. All from Meyer. The RIR I got in meal maker. They were small so didn't process them as soon. The Olive egger, I asked for an EE rooster, and they gave me an olive egger, which is fine. I had the olive egger separate for a while with hens his age, but when he started to crow I put him in with the regular hens and those roosters, and now he doesn't crow, and the RIRs also do not crow yet. One of my RIR would come out of the pop door every morning and try to nip me, then I would pick him up and carry him about, I always though he was the rooster who sat on the top roost with all the hens. But, this morning he came out tried to bite, and I was carrying him about, when I opened the main door, the top roost rooster was still roosting with his hens. I think the reason the lower roost rooster is biting me, is because the other rooster gets all the ladies.
I think he is a flirt.
