None of our paint males have dun or buff coloring in them. They are white and black, nothing else.

Well, then your lucky is all I can say. I haven't seen many 100% clear paint males. Actually, I don't think I have seen any at all. So, why don't you post some pics??? Would love to see them. How old are they?

Maybe its the lighting or resolution on my phone....doesn't appear as white...wasn't trying to cheese anybody off...i understand the buff/dun/champagne leakage...have only seen it in the hackles though on some of mine that are from paint x black breedings.....haven't seen it on my paint x dom white breedings but seem to get less black markings.

Yes, you get less black markings from paint x black breeding rather than paint x paint breeding. I have had boys stay clear just up until breeding time and then they seem to get the discoloring for some reason.

This is a paint male that i am raising. I LOVE his type. Can't wait to see what kind of babies he throws when he starts breeding.
I think he only has 2 blk spots and lots of weird color but I really love his type.
Paints are jsut crazy!
You are cheese Bob lol...

I would also like to say something on the paint. Yes it is a new color variation in progress and before people start bashing others about what they are breeding to maybe they should look up the genetics on where blue and splash come from thanks

If your referring to me i don't believe i bashed her bird and i would never "bash" somebody's bird on a public forum..i'd like to believe after years of breeding silkies i have learned something about how the genetics work...in the pic of the roo the base color doesn't come across as white...the two most important things i have learned over the years is there is no such thing as the "perfect" bird and at the end of the day there still just a darn chicken

I was not pertaining to anyone in particular. I stated that as to try and keep peace on this listing and not bash anyones listings. We are all here to have fun and learn from each other but in a constructive manner. That is my personal opinion. Thanks Oh and bob i love your birds
