thank you-I think the mom-2 generations back had 4 toes in her background because I have never bred 4 toers. I did alot of testing and incubating and picked out the hen who was throwing them-havent had any issues since-until now-I was told it would happen from time to time though:-(

Yeah, I know you tried weeding out the culprit on that. Oh well, what do ya do. I have another chick that is almost out and I think it's another lavender but not sure yet. Crossing my fingers.. The one lavender that I do have (Which was the first to hatch) has a couple of toes on each foot that are curling in so I'm hoping that they will straighten out if not I will have to tape them.

curling??? thats a new one never had any issues with that?? Ive had some that looked curled in but its from being squished in shell-within a day or so of walking around they turned the way they should be-no issues!

Yeah, It just might be from being squished in the shell. Well, so far I have 2 lavenders, 4 Black splits and 1 black non-split. Still waiting on two more to hatch. They haven't piped yet but I can hear them peeping in the shells.

I have 1 more lavender. So, It's up to 3 lavenders, 1 non split black and 4 black splits. Not sure if anymore are going to hatch or not but I'm sure I will know by the end of the day today.
