6 week old chicks ready for the coop?

I have 6 SL Wyandottes that are now 10 weeks old and they been in the coop with the big ladies since they were 7 weeks. Put then in the coop at dark and let them out in the run with the rest the next morning. There was some pecking order issues established but all in all after a couple days things settled and they get along for the most part, with the exception of the 4 Cockrels. They will be out of there in a week

I just have two though....no Flock to integrate. Would just two in a coop be ok? I don't want them to get cold.

I have other chicks, but they aren't old enough for the coop.

I had put my eight girls out at five weeks old in colder temperatures than you mentioned. They did fine, in fact they seemed so much happier to be out of the brooder! I just made sure they had plenty of clean bedding to sleep in and it took five days of me to put them to bed before they figured it out themselves. Now they’re awake and out in the run by the time I get up.

They made it okay. I only checked on them like three times throughout the night. Lol.

I guess being raised on the farm gives me a different perspective than those who are new to the chicken world. As long as I am happy with their run and coop being secure, they will take care of themselves. Oh I have my favorites and I dote over them, and I do observe and check them all periodically but thats what you do when ya have chickens.

I have 3 chicks that are fully feathered at almost 5 weeks. I want them to go outside so badly, but I’m hesitant with our night temps in the mid 40’s. During the day it’s been averaging 60s and 70s. Should I wait until 6 weeks?
