Hello,

It’s not my first time raising chickens, but it’s been awhile. I brought home 3 six week old pullets today. They appear to be fully feathered. It was in the 40s today and it’s supposed to be down in the 20s tonight. I have them in a small grow out coop with a brooder plate in it. For various reasons, I am not set up to bring them inside. Will they be ok for the night? After tonight it’s supposed to be in the 50s during the day and the 30s at night.

Thank you for any expertise you can offer.

How were they being kept where you got them? That will determine acclimation neccesity.
My babies are raised outside, with a mama heat pad, and are off heat entirely by 4 weeks in temps cre than you will be getting, but that is what they are acclimated to.
At 6 weeks the heat plate is likely unnecessary, but if nothing else will make you feel better
