Okay, Ya'll need to refresh my memory. Do I switch my chicks from chick starter to grower at 6 weeks or 8 weeks? They are 6 weeks today.....I'm thinking it was 8 weeks......just can't remember.

Most starter bags suggest 6 to 8 weeks. So if you are about out of the bag of starter now, I'd go ahead and buy the grower.

Do you think it's better for them to be on the starter for a couple more weeks? I only have 4 right now, so I've been buying a small amount from the feed store every week. I am also getting more chicks in a couple weeks, so even if I get a big bag, I will need it for the new ones anyway.

My feed says 6 weeks.

I don't think it will hurt them. You might want to wait on that question for someone else.

I could only ever find start/grower combo at my feed stores.... so they always got that... I'm sure they'll be fine if you switch now, or later
