60 eggs in incubator and 5 under broody!!

Today day 20 and I just heard my first peep and we have an external PIP, one of the Marans in the little incubator! It’s going to kill me not being able to see inside the cabinet incubator.

So far...one...it hatched pretty quickly yesterday around 5pm and since then I’ve been obsessing and watching and nothing!

Was it from the incubator or under the broody chick?

First one was in the incubator. I went to work and called multiple times and nothing...came home I can hear chirping in the cabinet and I have about 5 more external pips in the small incubator and most exciting of all!!!!!! ..... can I pick her up really quick and check under her? She has 6 eggs one didn’t look as far along as the other when I checked them around day 14.

5 out of 6 under her have hatched!!!!!
Nope not her eggs. They are mixed from my black australorp Hens and Easter Egger rooster...soooo I guess they will be possible Olive eggers? Im
Very new to the breeding and genetics this is our first time hatching from our own flock and having a rooster.

Mama is 6/6!!! 100% hatch rate!!! I had one Maran egg pip and then die, 6 have hatched and one didn’t look fertile and the other still looks good but no pip yet. I’ll probably open the cabinet really fast tonight and get out what’s hatched and see what kind of progress we’ve made. Or should I not until tomorrow?! I had to open this morning to add water before work and humidity dropped to 45 but 2 mins after I closed it went back up to 60. I have added sponges and a paper towel in there.

I had 1 hatch on day 20 then several on day 21 and as of today, day 23 I have 4 eggs left that still have hope and I’ve had several hatched today still. Pretty staggered hatch but ended up having 53 fertile eggs and so far I have 44 chicks!!!!
