I look up Soul Sacrifice every once in a while just to journey back, reminisce. It was certainly a different time.I believe a coin toss in the late '60s was at least partly if not largely responsible for the divergent destinies of two bands. One bands'/artists' career spanning 6 decades and one disbanding in less than 10 years.
Concert promoter Michael Lang needed to invite one more band to perform at Woodstock. Bill Graham, manager of bands like Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and Big Brother and the Holding Company put forward two largely instrumental candidates - It's a Beautiful Day and Santana. Lang liked them both so much he couldn't decide. So he flipped a coin and guess who won?
These guys won the flip.
Here's the one without a ticket to Wookstock. Sorry the audio isn't great on this one.
