Concert promoter Michael Lang needed to invite one more band to perform at Woodstock. Bill Graham, manager of bands like Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and Big Brother and the Holding Company put forward two largely instrumental candidates - It's a Beautiful Day and Santana. Lang liked them both so much he couldn't decide. So he flipped a coin and guess who won?

These guys won the flip.
