re: never say "Never"

There was a book awhile back called "The Secret." Oprah raved about it; the video was lame. But the premise is that positive or negative thoughts draw energy towards you to manifest them. (Like the Universe is giving back) Oh sure, we all wish for a lottery win. But if you visualize a better style of living, it will become you. So think positive thoughts... Like "Good things will come my way; I am receptive to them"

Likewise, negative thoughts attract negative things and the more energy you invest in disliking something, the more likely you'll find a negative impact. Case in point: O.J. Simpson did his hotel robbery thing in Las Vegas where I happened to live. I kept telling everybody I did not want to be on that jury. Sure enough, I got a jury summons for around the anticipated date of the trial. "Ah, ha! I'll just change my jury duty day." I did. I walked into the jury pool room on my newly selected day and was handed a 33-page questionnaire to fill out titled "People of the State of Nevada vs. Orenthal James Simpson." I didn't realize they'd begin jury selection a month early! All my negative-energy gyrations came back to bite me big time.

I want to win! Those eggs are super gorgeous! I seem to have caught the flu that my 6yo has been battling all qeek long. It has unfortunately slowed time down today. Lots of time to read around on BYC though.
