The pip does not look too bad It is a bit low but chances are good that the chick will zip higher up in the correct place. I do not see goo coming out of the eggs either which is good. Goo would be bad since it can suffocate the chick and make it stick if not.

Put them into lockdown like you planned. There is often one that hatches a day early and you may have a breed that hatches early. Another reason would be higher than ideal temperatures during incubation.

Go to the first post and read the guide to assisted hatching. You are not there yet and this chick will likely hatch fine on it's own.

As the chicks pip and hatch the humidity will jump and gradually fall back down if the chicks are hatching one at a time. If there are too many hatching, the humidity can soar. I had to barely open an incubator once when I had over 20 chicks zipping in the same hour.

ok ya I was kinda prepared for that in others refrnces n reading, but didnt think would spike that high but figured I want my humidity right around 65% for any spikes.........my humidity and temps arent slow to stabalize in this bater just getting them there takes a lil knowledgable experience once it's gotten.....lol
