Do you have them in a separate place, with heat? Sometimes those little ones sneak away from her, and she can't get them back under her.
Posted at the same time. The broody mamas and eggs are all in a corner of the coop separate from the flock. No heat in our coop. The only thing I could do would be to put on a heat lamp and I don't really like them things.

Do you have a doggy crate? So you can bring her in..in a place that isn't too warm..a basement area?

No basement or dog crate. The two broody hens are in a nest made from an octagon shaped end table with the floor covered with a non-slip rubber type mat and Koop Clean (straw mix) on top of that. The two mamas together are putting out a lot of heat. When I checked the eggs over the past few days they were very warm. I will try to get a picture of the set up. I'm about to go out and check on them.

I thought I posted this but dropped my phone and guess it erased.
I have been hatching eggs for many years but never had as much fun as with this HAL. And learned so much. I have never before marked air cells and put an "x" where they should pip. My DH and friends who have stopped by today think I am some kind of Chicken Whisperer because so many pips were on or near my X.
BTW I can't wait to hear how the Trader Joe eggs did. That is going to be my next project.
Happy New Year Everybody!!!!

This makes all of the work of hosing this hatch a long worth it!

The TJs eggs were set late and will reach day 21 on Saturday. 17 are still going strong.
