ron I think it was you speaking about how when a rooster is over a barred rock hen the babies would be sex linked? or is it a barred rock rooster over a whatever colored hen?.....I wish my other eggs would show some sign of coming!!!

The hen has to be barred and the rooster hast to be solid. Barring is sexlinked so the boys will be barred and will have a white spot on the head. Girls will not be barred and will not have a spot on the head.
