So excited! EEEEEEEEE! My first hatch-a long and my second time incubating. I ordered eggs from simonerol, but they weren't sure if the breeds I wanted would be laying, and my ebay "goth chicken" (cemani mix) egg order got cancelled (grrrrr), so I panicked and ordered some from papa brooder. Now, it looks like I'm getting two orders of eggs for a total of 18, and at least 3 breeds! Yay! Go me! (Needless to say, my husband is less than thrilled) XD
Ok so I'm 12 hours early but I did it! I set 19 ducks eggs at midnight (it was going to be 20 but I dropped one). So now the real waiting game begins. I will have to set on my hands to keep from candling everyday.
On a side note I think I finally found some RIR eggs to set next week. A local finally came through with eggs that wasn't between $30 and $50 a dozen. I went this afternoon to look at his birds and they are healthy and happy looking. They also looked yummy but that's a story for a different time.
