No candling here... yet! I figure the few shipped eggs I have in for this HAL need all the help they can get, so I'm trying to stay strong 'til day 7. I really want a couple Brahma pullets for my "laying flock."

I set them in the bator on the 11th...so day 3? These are the first eggs from my blue partridge Brahma pullet so I have no idea if they are even fertile or not...I'm so anxious to find out what's going on in those eggs!!

Good plan. Shipped eggs are better not to be messed with too much. Brahma are nice birds, I hope you have a good hatch.

Can I join? My Sussix is on day 2 of sitting on 6 eggs. The roo is a White Faced Black Spanish. I just counted out 21 days and chicks, if there really are any, are due Jan 2.

I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm so happy to find this thread and hope to learn some basics. The hen and eggs are in an elevated tractor that was in no way constructed to accommodate chicks. Ho boy, here we go. We do have a seperate big tractor that sits on the ground. I guess the hen and brand new chicks can be moved on 1/2. I'm afraid to try to move her right now, I'm afraid she'll startle badly and may damage the eggs.
