I've read that you should use gloves when handling eggs because the oils on your hand can clog their pores.

I have read this also. Though I never wear gloves when handling eggs. When I first started hatching I washed them prior to touching eggs, now I don't do anything special before handling eggs.

I just wash mine. What kind of gloves are you all talking about? Kitchen gloves? Rubber gloves?
