Day 10: did a quick candle of my questionable eggs while they were cooling. The 3 clears were still clear so I pulled them. The 2 I'm not sure of still don't have any visible veins but seem to be darker and don't smell so I left them in. They are red Orps from Papas Poultry so I'd kick myself if I killed a growing chick.
Finally got caught up, hope everyone is doing well in this crazy season. I've got a few more presents to wrap after the munchkin goes to bed and I'm done!

Today was the 7 day candle for me. The TJs eggs are doing awesome! I have 17 out of 24 developing. There were 3 blood rings and 4 clears. Amazing for eggs that came out of the cold shelf in a grocery store!

7 of 11 Blue Australorp eggs are developing too--good for shipped eggs.

Now what am I going to do with these chicks if they hatch well?

So I couldn't resist... set it too late for the NYD hatch, but what the heck.

One pigeon egg set 10/15, and one pigeon egg set today.

Cool, how long do they take to hatch? It probably has to go on my list of birds to try hatching : )
