erm, wrong thread, mate.  This is the New Year's Day Hatch-A-Long, not the Christmas Day Hatch-A-Long. 

You made my heart stop when you asked that because I'd just turned my eggs.  LOL

Nope, im in the right thread im part of the nyd hatch and set 6 days before yalls date. I did the NYD last year and im doing christmas considered new years i set in new years and took the eggs back out

If they were set before noon on the fifth, they are due on the 25th according to the chart. Today would be day 19 so yes, lock them down.

They were set at about 7 pm...but ill still lock them down today

Thanks! I am hoping for a large hatch from my quails this weekend. My friend could use more.

WELL i have an internal pip! Candled to draw the air cell before setting to lockdown, and saw this! Heard chirps and everything! What a surprise!

What a day yesterday..starting early evening, then through the night for me! I had 18 chicks hatch out of 19 that went into lockdown. I love the sound of them in my home again.

The power went out for about an hr. Had to get some hand warmers put under them. They were bundled up good at first, but they started to cry, so I got the warmers out..did the trick. Wasn't too worried about the eggs set for the HAL, until the house started getting cooled down, went to put a blanket over the bator, right then, the power came back on. Baby chicks are much happier. Not too worried about the eggs, they should be fine. Will candle a few tonight.

Just took my eggies out for cooling.. I'm just SO excited about this hatch! I feel good about how I've been rotating the eggs (never have done that.. Duhh), and I'm so happy with how my temp has been doing!! Air sacs look good to me and everything seems to be on track. I can't believe we're almost just a week away!!
