darina..have to ask..is that a Schnauzer on the top of your house? I've been looking at pups, they expensive, you have one I assume? If, that's a Schnauzer??

Now that I look again, thinking not. More like a terrier of some sort.

Actually, I got it from a nice fellow BYC member who uploaded several photos for (ahem) techo-impaired members to use as avatars. I thought it as a schnauzer when I saw it, which I believe are terriers. When I was growing up, we had a medium-sized mutt that looked very schnauzer-like, except she was black with white chest, belly and paws. Best dog ever! She lived to be 17 years old before we had her put to sleep.

lol..you are right, they are terriers. We have a mix right now ourselves, Schnauzer/Poodle mix. Shnoodle. He is cute with his hair, but I just clipped all of it off! He looks so different now..I will share the cuteness though.

And, don't forget the Easter Hatch A Long will be up before we know it. Watch for it, and have some eggs ready to set!

I think the avatar dog is an Airedale King of the Terriers

Diva, that's what it looks to me now too. I used to want the big one. Have a neighbor that has one, it is a great dog.

darina I know min.schnauzers also can be black & silver and it's a very dramatic look . They also tend to be long lived. Maybe your dog was a pure schnauzer, untrimmed they could look like any breed.

My parents have some photos of her, and maybe I could figure out how to scan and post one. I've never seen another dog like her, our little pound puppy.
