7-8 Week Brahmas

Anyone know how normal it is to have blue & green sheen on hens?

Entirely normal. Here is my Black Brahma hen Chili showing off her sheen. (I just want to add that she does have the wrong earlobe color, just so she isn't seen as an example of what they necessarily should look like :))

Phew 😅 ok because 2 of the 7 week ones have a blue/ green sheen starting. Still not seeing a rooster looking tail & combs are still in that “is it or isn’t it” stage.

I love the splash ones! Where did you get them?
Splash ones? My blue looking Roos?

All the Brahma chicks I got were from a lady working on coloured Brahmas. Blue, black & blue partridges I think.

They are beautiful birds even if all turn out to be cockerels which I can’t keep lol.

Ya the blue, my bad, they are gorgeous!♥️

Update: sold my suspected Cockerels. Have 2 left that I kept as I'm unsure still.

Well was woke up At 4:45am this morning to a botched crowing sound....

Thought I got all the cockerels but it seems I missed 1 or perhaps 2. Which means all my Brahmas were boys.

Went & looked at them & I think I’m seeing saddle feathers coming in on both now.
