Pullet? Cockerel?
S/he's pretty flighty.

Also if anyone thinks these are any other than pullets, they're 8/9 weeks old.

pullet!

T___T That is such great news. Are they really different from hens to roos at this age? I haven't found any clear descriptions of either.

I agree she's a pullet, as for the other ones. I have 2 nine week old australorps and I've been google imaging them for weeks! I've seen roo's have pretty big combs from 4 weeks and I definitely think at 7-8 weeks a roo would have a lot more comb and be wayyyy redder in the face!

Thanks so much you guys!
I'm glad. She was the single one I brought home (after already buying 6) because out of the bin of flooded black, had an extreme amount of white all over her face and body. So, obviously, had to have her. It's the first time picking the 'odd one out' now has me a hen! Yay.

I know this is an old post but I want to make sure mine is a pullet. She is 7 weeks.

I just noticed wattles today. I also just saw from this pic that I can see her skin. I am going to go check - maybe it’s from the way I was holding her? She is sweet and won’t jump away if I want to pick her up.

Looks like maybe someone is plucking her or she is rubbing her fluff off there on her neck. She also doesn't appear to be 7 weeks.

However, she does indeed look like a pullet right now. Post updated pics in a few weeks to confirm.

Thank you! When we got her they said they all were 2 1/2 weeks. Hatch date May 18. I’ll post a pic of them at that age. I appreciate your response. She is the smallest of the three. If I take them a treat of mealworms the other snatch them before she can get any. But she does eat. She is very sweet. Oops I meant to post the pic without names, but you might just enjoy! 😊

it’s hard to tell size in the first pic. The one in the back has always been larger. She is an Easter Egger and the one in the middle is Cream Legbar.
