I have a 7 day old hand reared pigeon hes eating and pooing but the sides of his chest and huge and firm I need help

Is it possible to post a picture? What are you feeding? How often? Heat?

When they eat their crop fills up like a balloon.. it with be a big swelling on its front... you know when it needs more food when the swelling is nearly gone and its starts squeaking a lot

Easiest n best foster feed is layer pellets as water soluble so easily digested n fed in hard pellet slid into down right side of throat. no grit etc.. they can get fat and messy though, most fliers want that fat squeaker so works down to good hard muscles.
