Did you take all the water out of the bator yet?

You could fill a sock with some rice and put the sock in the bater to help take out some of the moisture.

yeah i had taken all the water out got a reptile thermometer and hydrometer now i have another issue where the wires cause the bator to be gaped in the back. i think i'm going to loose these eggs because the temp and humidity are still all over the place.
so my husband has give me permission to get another bator at tractor supply tomorrow

. Could you put a towel or something over the gap?

The humidity should come back down now that the water is out. Focus on the temp. Has it gotten too high? I wouldn't worry so much about it dropping for a little while.

If you don't open it and just leave it be is it holding temp and staying steady?

Leghorns should have really big combs that flop over and the eggs should be white. If the eggs are white maybe they are a mix.
