it's a cornish x, overall healthy now at 7 week. it's dirking and eating well and was totally fine till now but suddenly it became very weak a few hours ago. it's poop looks fine there are no sings of respiratory diseases. it is just breathing very heavily usually doesn't pant , but pants when stressed. i don't have a mother hen and it's the only baby chick i have. is there anything wrong with the panting? should i do something about it? any medications? plz help :(

They will also pant when they get hot.. and may get winded easily. There's nothing wrong with panting as an adaptation to cool down. (presuming it's not a brooder being kept constantly too warm artificially) The sudden weakness described IS concerning.

No amount of medication will change genetics if by Cornish X, you mean what we know as meat birds. In which case the panting could be a symptom of pulmonary (heart) distress. (coupled with sudden weakness seems concerning)

Feed routine MAY impact longevity. Please describe, including treats and supplements. Is he in a brooder? Under a heat source with constant lighting or with dark nights? Been outdoors yet?

Really no chicken should have to live alone. Will he be kept as pet, joining a flock, harvested, or something else? Are you in the US?

Are you able to post pics or videos?

brought 2 chicks as pets from local sells but the seller didn't knew the breed, so aftwe keeping them for a while i realized they are Cornish X they were very sick from the beging. the yonger one died * cuz of death seems like overweight and merek's disease maybe* but this one lived and was very healthy.
he is to keep as a pet.
i live in south asia and live in a apartment.
he is only a single bird so hes kept in blankets, the temparature seems fine cuz hes comfy in it. he is sleeping and eating well his chirps are also sounding perfectly fine and happy.

i feed him Chick starter, Crushed Eggshells as grit, clean water, gave him Vitanim B and Vitamin E supliments lately cuz his legs were very weak. i also hand fed him egg yolks and gave him hard boiled eggs* mostly the eggwhite he doesn"t eat the boiled yolk.* he likes to eat red meat like chicken and beef so i also fed him that. as for treats i give him raw rice he loves it the most. but i am not giving him treats for 2 weeks now cuz you can see in my past thereads they had malnutritions being to obssesed over treats and rehecting other food.
other than that i fed him oats a few times too.
his every other behaviour seems fine just the panting and sudden weakness is scaring me. :| anything i can do now?
