I have 3 chicks I purchased from Tractor supply almost 7 weeks ago. They were all in the same bin listed as black australorp but clearly they were in the wrong bin. One of the chicks still has no feathers, any help in identifying what type of chicken I may have.

That looks like a buff silkie. She does have her feathers, but the feathers don't have barbels.

They were a breed developed in China, and are excessively broody in many lines. They should have a walnut comb, black skin and meat, and five toes per feathered foot. Yours looks like she's unbearded. They're very docile, gentle birds, and decent layers so long as they do not go broody.

Trying to figure out what you meant by has no feathers when they all look feathered to me. But I got it... The buff Silkie cockerel doesn't have hard feathers, the one in the middle.

On the right... looks like maybe a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Not sure about the one on the left, but NOT and Australorp for sure.

TSC is known for mixing their breeds up. :hmm

ETA: if those are feathered legs then it wouldn't be a Wyandotte as I suggested. And I'm thinking maybe they are all bantam?

And where's is the crest???

The comb says boy though at that age...
Yeah, agree on the sex. Wasn't actually thinking when I posted, I admit. I tend to vacillate between "he" and "she" (It's a passive-aggressive reaction to my college days when the establishment tried to make me use "they" for everything. Have you ever heard of subject-verb agreement, I ask?)

I'm thinking an Ideal hatchery silkie. We have three from there (Someone saw a bin labelled bantams and thought all bantams are Old English Games—so I got free chickens), and they barely have crests.

Thanks for the info! My research (and I’m brand new to chickens) told me it was a silkie but since Tractor supply doesn’t sell them I figured I must be wrong. I didn’t know about the black skin. I wanted a silkie they just weren’t easily purchased when you only want one!

Who told you TSC doesn't sell them? They're pretty easy to find, around here.
