The dosage for "treatment" is higher than that for prevention.  Prevention dosage is 1/3 of a teaspoon per gallon of water.   Treatment dosage is much higher.  2 teaspoons per gallon.

The precise dosage is not critical, just don't under medicated during a breakout.  The medicine isn't a drug as you might think of one.  It is a coccistat preventing the coccidiosis from overwhelming the chicks.  It works by blocking thiamine uptake.  Feed no vitamins during the 7 days treatment period.  Don't want to feed the parasite.

2 teaspoons dissolved in a gallon of water.

Try to use an eye dropper and administer some of the liquid to any chick actively pooping blood. Repeating from above. Dampen their feed with this liquid. This liquid should be all they get to drink in their waterers for 7 days. No vitamins, no plain water, just treated water.

It is amazing how quickly they respond to treatment and how quickly they can die without it.

In the future, if you wish to accomplish what "medicated feed" accomplishes, you can use a much smaller dosage. 1/2 teaspoon per gallon in their waterer.

I just did this today, drive an hour for corid. I have a quart size water dispenser, so is that 1/4 tsp then?

That would be 1/2 teaspoonful of liquid Corid per quart or 2 tsp per gallon. The powder is 1.5 tsp per gallon--divide by 4 for quarts which is just under a tsp.
