Yesterday about mid day I noticed one of my saphire gems was laying in the run. At the time I didn't think much of it because others were doing the same trying to keep cool. When I went in around 7p.m. last night my daughter and I realized she was limping trying to come up to us. She again stopped and layed down in the middle of the run.
I brought her inside and I'm keeping her in an Xtra large plastic dog kennel. I put a thick layer of pine shavings in the bottom to make it a little softer on her hock. She's eating, drinking and pooping normal. She's favoring her left leg though. I read there's a possibility a tendon could slip.

Her foot looks fine, but its like her hock/joint is making it hard for her to support herself properly. She puts weight on it and her leg will bend. There is no twisting or splay look to the leg at all, the leg itself looks normal and no discoloration.

Our chicken house it's off the ground and I've seen her jump from the ramp previously in the morning, could she have jumped and landed wrong?

My husband is going to help me examine her, so i can check for swelling etc. Is there anything else I need to look for? Is it safe to give her 1/4 a baby aspirin twice a day?
We are feeding Purina Chick Starter/grower feed.

UPDATE: she mainly just layed in the same spot all day yesterday. I did bring one of her sisters in for a bit and she perked up. Upon further examining we did find a small black spot under her foot, it doesn't look swoolen though so I'm not sure what to think. I soaked it in an Epsom salt bath until she decided she wanted to fly back into the kennel for the night. I will try again today. This morning when she was eating she was standing on that foot, but still seems wobbly.

Okay, so we just examined her. There is slight swelling, but tendon feels to be in the same place as the other leg. Feet, toes and nails are all fine. But as I said there is slight swelling around the hock/joint. No signs of mites either. She is putting a little more weight on it today than she was able to last night.

yes, you basically cut leg holes in a towel and clamp it to a plastic bin. It holds them steady while their leg heals.

She's attempting to stand but still very wobbly on that leg. It keeps bending at the hock when she's trying to walk. Also appears it could be maybe in the thigh area. Is it possible to have a thigh dislocated? I've never dealt with leg issues in my previous flock, so this is all new to me.

This is a picture of the spot we noticed on her foot, it doesn't appear swoolen. The black spot was originally larger. I did soak her foot twice in warm water with Epsom salt to be on the safe side. I'm thinking maybe she just had a dirt spot because it's much smaller now and matches her leg color. She can move her toes so I know she has feeling in her leg.
