I keep my hens and roosters separate, one group in each of my two coops. It's worked pretty well for me so far, aside from a bit of normal rooster quarrels. Can I keep 2 separate groups in 2 coops? I control free range and have an enclosed run attached to coop!

Oooh! Separate the boys!! I have two big bullies that I put out alone, sometimes! I never thought of completely separating them!! That’s a great idea!
