Come on folks, what is going on in our world when a seven year old little girl gets a ticket for no business license for her lemonade stand? Yesterday, a little girl and her dad were given a ticket for selling lemonade in a park in NYC without a business license! Why does big brother feel that something like this is necessary? The father even offered to stop the sales and leave the park, but the Parks Department of NYC wouldn't allow that! They have to appear in court in answer to the citation! It is a real shame that our kids cannot be kids anymore!

Ain't that the truth. Kids can not be kids now a days. Too sad.

They just don't have the innocence I had growing up.

If it was on a street corner in a neighborhood I would agree. In NYC they have street vendors all over the place. The kid is cutting in on their business. You can bet that each of those guys selling hot dogs or nasty beef on a stick are licensed. NYC is all about bribes too, I used to set up stores in the 5 Boroughs and our primary contractor always carried a big wad of cash to pay the inspectors so they wouldn't shut the job site down.

If I remember correctly, they are going to dismiss this violation and put some kind of regulation in place that makes people buy a license to sell items in public, waiving the fee for kids under 12....
