Actually, in the US 95% of commercially grown corn is GM, and 90% of soybeans.

And another thing is why are biology experts saying we are losing some rare plants? Because GM is sterile but needs to produce pollen to have it's fruit. So the pollen spreads, (beare in mind GM is sterile) to other plants through bees/wind etc... and polonates the new host which in return produces sterile fruit. Which also means that plant can't reproduce.
