Hmm not a fan of nuggets, but they might end up as an expensive Indian curry!

I got an egg today from the fizzle bantam. Youngest and hasn't developed her wattles or combs like the other girls!

 could they be laying eggs in hiding, when you let them free range? Are their combs getting redder?  Do they squat when you touch them on their backs?

Those are typical in a hen getting near point of lay.

I have had 3 lay in the last 12 hours that are not developed like the other ladies.... Go figure! Hopefully by tomorrow the whole family can have breakfast!!

My light Sussex 30 weeks is dominating the other younger girls that are laying. She jumps on their backs and pecks them! Is this normal behaviour? She is a very BIG girl!

She may just be playing the role of the rooster. Do you have a rooster? If you didn't that means that 1 of your chickens need to take over the flock and to be the top dog and the leader. I had the same problem. Except my littlest hen is the leader and top dog.

Thanks it does help. We don't have a rooster as council won't allow it .
I also noticed after that she kept opening her mouth to chat like the other girls but no sound came out. Out of all the girls she makes no sounds, but looks developed.

Like when you mean that she doesn't make a sound, do you mean like that she has never made a peep in her life or that she does cluck but when she opens her mouth nothing comes out at times?
