7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

If you had said something sooner, I'm sure someone would have sent you some.

I kept thinking I would be able to get some local. When I take an honest look at things though, I really need to work on available coops before bringing in more birds.

Sorry Nomibear!

Catch you on the Easter Hatch a Long!

Yes Ron, I will be in on that one like last year!

where are you located?

Texas! San Antonio area.

Nonsense!
You get more birds and somehow make it work, whether it be compacting into a coop that "could store a few more" or building a new one impromptu.

I'd like to hatch with the group as well. I have some shipped eggs that arrived today. Not sure how well they will do shipping so far but they arrived in good shape. I've not candled them to see egg sacs yet. Little afraid too.

Well, I am going to have to bow out. The eggs I wanted to set have not shown up yet and my egg orders are getting backed up. Business over pleasure I guess.:/

Welcome!

I hope you find some nice ones.

@vehve is in Finland, maybe he knows more about getting hatching eggs?
Thank you very much. We have all kinds of differend chickens and hatching eggs here in Denmark as well.. Getting them in time for a New Years evening hatch just was not an option since it was already 8 pm when I found out this was a thing.

Besides I usually never hatch earlier than late winter or early spring
