I haven't been over there myself. I think that being a hatchaholic is perfectly normal! After all, who wouldn't want cute little fuzzybutts running around all the time?
Just got in from work. Bator on? Check! Holding temps? Check? Air cells marked? Check! Hmmm, I know I am forgeting something....what was it? Oh yeah! Put eggs in bator stuupiiid! Check! Many eggs are set! Now for the loooooong wait.
Gonna set my eggs a few hours late because my bator usually starts hatching chicks the afternoon of day 20.
Good luck everybody
I am setting eggs today!!!! I went and picked up 18 silkie eggs and I have 3 Serama eggs. I can't wait for New Years babies!! Last year my shipped eggs were a bust
ouch! Funny, I'm not happy with my cat either. She killed a rat and was playing with it in my bathtub.
She also tipped my bator over during hatching over Thanksgiving cause the baby quail sounded delicious. All turned out OK though
Well, it's been 24 hours... is it too soon to candle? Guess I'm a little anxious, lol
I know!It has been less than nine hours for the chickens, and I am ready to candle them too! We are a crazy bunch!
The eggs from Whole foods were like that too!Set my eggs yesterday and i think i found 1 or 2 air cells out of quite a few eggs. Very tiny air cells too. Will leave humidity at room level for a few days and then candle to see if they are getting any air in there. Haven't had this happen before.
Oh gross I'd vomit.
