1st Quail to hatch!


It's a Golden!!

When I first got Quail, I had a favorite.
It of course died, cause it was my favorite!
So this is awesome, My first quail to hatch is Golden!!

I picked it up at Trader Joes. It was inexpensive - didn't exactly look for it, but couldn't say no when I saw it.

I am not a true "wino" but I prefer dry reds. I would call this "Leiblich" which is a German term for semi-dry/semi-sweet. I don't know the English vernacular, but it fits into the "Leiblich" category similar to several of the Black Forest wines in Germany. That being said, it is very drinkable and without a bad after taste - but not my preferred type.

I have some hard apple cider I brewed a month ago. Seriously thinking of cracking open a bottle tonight. Apples from yard, and Apple Hill pressed juice, local honey from a gal here in town and spices. Yummy.

They are fixing to drag me downtown now.....
I would much rather have some cider.
I'm not a beer drinker, I don't drink often but when I do it's usually liqour.
But Cider, Geez I can drink it all day!!
May have to send some my way....
