I picked it up at Trader Joes. It was inexpensive - didn't exactly look for it, but couldn't say no when I saw it.
I am not a true "wino" but I prefer dry reds. I would call this "Leiblich" which is a German term for semi-dry/semi-sweet. I don't know the English vernacular, but it fits into the "Leiblich" category similar to several of the Black Forest wines in Germany. That being said, it is very drinkable and without a bad after taste - but not my preferred type.
Thanks for the critique. I have yet to find a wine I actually like so maybe it's worth a try if I can find a place that carries it around me. For tonight, I think I will just stick with my Redd's Apple Ale to celebrate the New Year.
