7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

I have 6 ladies. 4 Bourbon reds, 1 bronze, one red bronze, and a Bourbon red tom.

400

Let's here it for my six and seven month old roos and the pullets that started laying in November. 52 of the 54 set candled good!!!!
This is the batch set on the third. I have to celebrate with these since the Bator I planned to use for the New Years hatch along had the element go out, but thankfully before I started the eggs I gathered for that.

My delivery guy left four dozen eggs (apx $300) on top of the mailbox in sleet. He was a few hours late, so I didn't know to even go out to the box. The next day, he brought them up the driveway. He thought I should have seen them through the trees. He offered to pay for the damaged contents until I told him how much he owed. He has avoided me like the plague ever since .

Oh no!  When we had a package stolen from the top of our mailbox, I tried to get the post office to replace it, but I ended up getting my credit card company to replace it.  It was easier.  Have you looked into filing a claim through the post office?

They won't be held responsible. It was delivered.

@MotorcycleChickouch, I am sorry for your loss. I will really pay attention to the mypetchicken site that suggested you have them shipped to the post office and get them there.
Sorry:(

The PO here isn't any better. They refuse to call until afternoon. The box tells them to call immediately. I told them to call immediately. They didn't.
Now I hatch my own eggs or wait until I see another chicken owner.

Mine is not any better. For example, lost an entire order of plants and bushes once because of laziness and incompetence the sub did not drive back to deliver the package because she did not know what house though all five of the houses on the lane are marked with big tags by the fire department and mine is marked in four other places. So even though I called with the fourth of July it was five extra days before they came all dead. Another time I waited at home all day for an overnight shipment of tickets to an NFL game the next day. When I finally reached them about why they had not delivered the overnight delivery they said the phone was busy when they called so they did not know if I was home. The driver did not even stop and this was when the phones were land lines.
