Chickens are also very contagious. I've personally infected 4 people at work with them. 2 of the four have it so bad chicken math has taken over. All I did was give them some fresh eggs.

On a downer note, after candling the few remaining eggs I set for the Hal, I now have two more quitters. I guess I am still in the running for worst hatch rate.

Too bad on eggs all my eggs were duds. I haven't candled my shipped ones in a couple days. At last check 5 of 18 had stopped.
All the infected folks are coworkers and my desk is in the main hallway. I have become the chicken Doctor and they stop by at every chance.

I might just be there with you... I candled the other day and had two that are definante and one maybe... I also have two that I set later but it doesn't count for this HAL

Yes indeed- extremely addictive! I have plenty - but always enjoy hatching more! I do sell eggs at work (not for profit) and now my customers would like me to supply them with chickens too! There is a youtube video with chickens as the gateway pet... before you know it you'll have goats & cows too!

This reminds me of a Craigslist add that "rented" out chickens and a small coop for a short period of time (4-6 weeks?) - customers that rented the chickens and coop could then buy the coop if they desired after the rental period was up! Seems like a pretty good business to me!

Well day 14 candle happened.....and I lost the 1 around day 8 or 9. And everyone else is growing fine!!!! I could even see some feet!!! Forgot my phone to take a picture!
