7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Lockdown is done!

I pulled one more egg that was bad and have 37 in there. Some have internal pipped while others are still quite full. 3 or 4 look iffy but do not smell.

I can't wait to see the Whole foods chicks. They are supposed to be red sex links. The Trader Joes will be a brown hybrid x white leg horn hens.

37?

Hope you can sell what ya don't want!

I now have one zipping!!

I think that was only my 2nd dropped developing, so not too bad... just suckz cuz it was the most spot on looking one...

Besides, that still wasn't as bad as yesterday... lost an entire bantam coop and our Sulmtaler coop was blown over...

I'm sorry about the blown over coop!! We are having some extreme wind here, but thankfully everything is stable. Good luck with the rest of your hatch!!

I had to go to Spokane for a couple days emergency, and I thought I lost all my eggs, because my house got cold, but I hatched one. the eggs due later next month are still going strong.

I'd like to place a bet that it's female. Females survive lower temps better than males. Males survive higher temps. I had a SNAFU one time with a hatch where it got up to 120 degrees. 4 out of 5 were male. (editted to correct wording)
