It always happens like this. We will have a lot of hatching to come. We are seeing the early ones--those that set early and ducks. Ducks always hatch early for me.Ok, now I am getting jealous and impatient! I set mine on the 11th and none of them seem to be in the mood to arrive early! Congrats everyone, they are popping like popcorn here today.![]()
Adorable!![]()
What kind of ducks are they?
I've been trying to find a good picture of a black tailed buff marans to see if that could be what you are thinking of. Not sure what they look like.
Good question
My sister has 10 ducks, 5 male and 5 female. That's why I am hatching these 10, so hopefully she can get up to 10 females and keep 1 or 2 males.
Anyway, of the 10 ducks these eggs came from, they are Blue Sweedish, and brown and khaki campbell (not sure on the spellings of those).
So, what I have hatching could be a mix of any of those.
Everyone keeps talking about silkies. I have 2 silkie eggs left in the bator that are looking good, due to hatch a week from now. They're all that's left from a dozen shipped eggs (plus one iffy cochin)I'm really hoping they make it. I'm dying for a couple really fluffy silkies!![]()
Now it is zipping!almosy out!!
Me too!Ugh, my mother, father and sister-in-law(s) are visiting and its difficult to hover over the 'bator with 3 other people standing there! Maybe a little selfish of me, but get outta the way folks![]()

Electricity is back on! Yay! Checked bator and it didn't drop a single degree. So hatching continues...
